ODISHA URBAN HABITAT IMPROVEMENT STRATEGY
ODISHA URBAN HABITAT IMPROVEMENT STRATEGY
This project was a targeted demonstration of community-led WATSAN and basic service improvement solutions in a total of 1200 households in the slums of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack (600 HHs in each city), in close collaboration with SPARC and the Kamla Raheja Vidyanidhi Institute of Architecture’s Design Cell as supported by the Tata Trust.
The baseline survey and existing situation report are a first attempt at analysing the sanitation challenges of each slum and will be built upon to include the community perspective and a repository of possible interventions.
